Have you tried dmraid on this yet ?

This is a 4 channel SATA controller integrated on the mobo and presumably

o it provides an ATARAID bios to set up RAID sets and

o doesn't change the metadata format stored on the disks (680 type supported)

it might already work with dmraid.
