well, it never found any array, i don't have the exact messages now
since i moved the disks to the VIA.
Ah, that might be an unknown offset to the metadata in pdc_read_metadat() then.
i will eventually move them back to the PDC and test again
Good, tell me once you get to it and dd the last ~1/2 MB off each drive
for analysis.
btw, that controller has an option to round the array size to the
nearest GB boundary, do you know if this is relevant for metadata
placement? (for the record i tried both enabling and disabling it)
