Hi all!

I was wondering what the status of support for the Promise PDC 20378 chip is.
I'm using a Asus K8V SE Deluxe and this is the onboard PATA-Raid Chip.

It identifies as FastTrak 378, so I thought it should work, but, well, it didn't.
same mobo, same issue :(

Hrm, are you using dmraid and can provide further info ?

"dmraid -V", "dmraid -r", "dmraid -ccc -s" are a good start to
see, if this is a principle issue or a known RAID set grouping logic flaw.

root@Moskow ~ # dmraid -V
dmraid version: 1.0.0-rc5f (2004.11.24) dmraid library version: 1.0.0-rc5f (2004.11.24)
device-mapper version: 4.3.0
root@Moskow ~ # dmraid -r
No Software RAID disks
root@Moskow ~ # dmraid -ccc -s
No Software RAID disks
root@Moskow ~ #

lspci gives
00:08.0 RAID bus controller: Promise Technology, Inc. PDC20378 (FastTrak 378/SATA 378) (rev 02)

i have no idea where the metadata is stored on such systems.
