And I was thinking I had to run FC1 just for lilo etc. As soon as FC3 comes out, I'm switching my entire system to FC3. What my lilo.conf looks like: lba32 prompt map = /boot/map timeout = 50 default = FedoraCore1 install = /boot/boot.b boot = /dev/mapper/sil_0405073203171 image = /mnt/fedora1/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.22-1.2199.nptl_52.rhfc1.at read-only label = FedoraCore1 initrd = /mnt/fedora1/boot/initrd-2.4.22-1.2199.nptl_52.rhfc1.at.img append = "hda=ide-scsi hdc=ide-scsi rhgb root=LABEL=fc1/" image = /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.8-1.603 read-only label = FedoraCore3 initrd = /boot/initrd-2.6.8-1.603.img append = "hda=ide-scsi hdb=ide-scsi rhgb root=LABEL=/" other = /dev/mapper/sil_0405073203171_p1 label = WindowsXP Comments: - As you can see, I installed lilo in the boot record (boot=) - I use ext2 labels for root, and that works with dmraid under FC3 (already used that with the old lilo from FC1). - Windows and FC1 will boot with this lilo.conf as well.
