Actually ataraid is missing in 2.5.
Don't remember were but i read about rewriting 2.5's ataraid (in an other layer ¿? )

Last time I looked at the todo list for 2.6 ataraid was completely broken.
Im currently using a 2.4.22-pre3 kernel with both of these ataraid types to find i get a few strange errors ... like failing to sync the FAT
on the ataraid mirror properly, but after a reboot its all fine ... ???
and is there any hotswap tools for ataraid ?
Nope. You can't swap disks safely with the ide driver.
