hello
i'm using linux slack8,kernel 2.4.17 on Soltek sl-65rp2+ motherboard
Fasttrack 100 Lite RAID
and 2 ibm darkstar 60Gb hdd setting up as raid0
with this kernel linux boots normally.
it finds /dev/hde,/dev/hdg,/dev/ataraid/d0

when i perform writing to /dev/ataraid/d0 it works very slowly!!!
even slower, when writing to single /dev/hde :(

when i coping many files it freezes for a long time (about 1min)
and i can't do anything on my consoles
i get this also when doing dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/ataraid/d0p2 bs=1k count=300000
when count less then 100000 sys not freeze, but work slowly

when i disabling udma, speed 2x grows up. isn't it strange?

here is kernel setup :
...
[*] PROMISE PDC202{46|62|65|67|68} support
[*] Special UDMA Feature
[*] Special FastTrak Feature
...
<*> Support for IDE Raid controllers
<*> Support Promise software RAID (Fasttrak(tm))

can anybody explain this?
thanks a lot
