Installing RedHat 7.2 on MSI K7T266 Pro2-RU Raid0

Hi all,

I try to install RedHat 7.2 on a Raid0 array /w the following hardware:

Athlon XP 1600+
MSI K7T266 Pro2-RU with onboard Promise FastTrak100 (20265) Raid controller
2 Maxtor 40G 7200RPM

So far, here is what I tried:

1. Promise supplemental device driver (8-21-2001 Ver.1.2.0.9, ftrhup_120b9.tar)
and install cdrom of RedHat 7.2 and RedHat 7.1.
I got a "Ooops!" after loading the "ft" driver.

2. Try to make a ataraid/pdcraid supplemental disk for RedHat 7.2
Of course, anaconda does not recognize /dev/ataraid...

3. Install RedHat 7.2 on a 3rd disk (/dev/hda3) not on the Raid controller.
I can see the Raid array and perform fdisk on it.
I copied RedHat installation on the Raid array.
Now, I cannot boot from the Raid array.
I tried the ataraid-lilo patch. when it boots, I have the following message:
"Kernel panic: No init found"
I guess I have to make initrd.img for my config but I don't know how to do it.

Any help?

Martin Bouchard.
