RH7.2 + FastTrak-100: init_module: No such device

Folks,

I just upgraded to RedHat-7.2, and I'm trying to get my preexisting
FastTrak100 to work. After realizing Promise didn't have a proprietary ft.o
for 7.2's kernel, I began to hunt for alternatives. Lo and behold, I
discovered ataraid and pdcraid come with 7.2:

/lib/modules/2.4.7-10smp/kernel/drivers/ide/pdcraid.o

lspci -vv tells me:

00:0a.0 RAID bus controller: Promise Technology, Inc. 20267 (rev 02)
Subsystem: Promise Technology, Inc.: Unknown device 4d39
Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr-
Stepping- SERR- FastB2B-
        Status: Cap+ 66Mhz- UDF- FastB2B- ParErr- DEVSEL=medium >TAbort-
<TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR-
        Latency: 64
Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 5
        Region 0: I/O ports at a800 [size=8]
        Region 1: I/O ports at ac00 [size=4]
        Region 2: I/O ports at b000 [size=8]
        Region 3: I/O ports at b400 [size=4]
        Region 4: I/O ports at b800 [size=64]
        Region 5: Memory at ed100000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=128K]
Expansion ROM at eb000000 [disabled] [size=64K]
Capabilities: [58] Power Management version 1
                Flags: PMEClk- DSI- D1- D2- AuxCurrent=0mA
PME(D0-,D1-,D2-,D3hot-,D3cold-)
                Status: D0 PME-Enable- DSel=0 DScale=0 PME-

at boot time, I saw:

PDC20267: IDE controller on PCI bus 00 dev 50
PDC20267: chipset revision 2
PDC20267: not 100% native mode: will probe irqs later
PDC20267: ROM enabled at 0xeb000000
PDC20267: (U)DMA Burst Bit ENABLED Primary MASTER Mode Secondary MASTER Mode.
PDC20267: neither IDE port enabled (BIOS)

Now, when I try to insmod the modules, I see:

[root@hewes ataraid]# insmod ataraid
Using /lib/modules/2.4.7-10smp/kernel/drivers/ide/ataraid.o
[root@hewes ataraid]# insmod pdcraid
Using /lib/modules/2.4.7-10smp/kernel/drivers/ide/pdcraid.o
/lib/modules/2.4.7-10smp/kernel/drivers/ide/pdcraid.o: init_module: No such
device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including
invalid IO or IRQ parameters

and dmesg tells me:

Promise Fasttrak(tm) Softwareraid driver for linux version 0.02
No raid array found

Can anyone suggest what I'm missing here?

Thanks!

-Darren
