i still has the same problem i tried everything but i can't get promise raid to work still crashes with a lot oopses i have tried linux-2.4.9-ac16 to linux 2.4.10-ac9 i haven't yet another HD to connect to the normel via ide channel but when i heared your story i'm not gonna even to try to add another drive (consuming power ,making noise,etc) ( I assume you have an extra hd reading your message) Erik
