Just tried with 2.4.10 kernel and it seems to be fixed now.

Does copying a 1GB file from one partition to another on the same RAID array
taking 1min 30 secs (10MB transfer rate) sound right?

Even doubled up because its doing reading and writing on the same RAID array
its 20MB/s - sounds a bit slow, or is there a lot of tweeking to be done yet?

Also I initially tried copying the latest ata/hptraid.c/h files over the ones that
came with the kernel and it compiles but wouldn't boot from the RAID array.

The ones that came with the kernel booted fine, are there two strands of these
files being maintained by you or different people?

Thanks for your work, appreciated :-)
