Really? I can't believe it! So what was all the fuss about FT66... a sort of 
winmodem hack? I thought the bios in the card rerouted data on the fly making 
it  a true HW raid device. Hmmm, I remember trying kernel SW raid and the 
overhead was quite high (it doubled XFree 4.0 compilation time) compared to 
the FT raid. Oh well, if this is the case I guess I'll just get a backup HD 
and reinstall the whole system from scratch on the regular controller raiding 
in the kernel: this closed source FT66 has given me enough problems and I 
can't play with other *BSD if it's in the way. I'm not demoting your efforts 
(is it correct to say so) but I'm a bit sick of the trouble this card is 
giving me.
