Chan_ss7 with asterisk 1.8 and sangoma cards

Is there any improvement regarding CPS new asterisk version?
Which one is better chan_ss7 or libss7 if we consider CPS as bench mark?
simple dahdi <===> sip g711 calls. no codec conversion.
