We really like to see community contributions to our dahdi code! This seems like a really cool idea. If you're interested in having it reviewed for possible inclusion into the dahdi trunk (and this goes for anybody out there), all you have to do is go to http://issues.asterisk.org, sign the license, and attach your patch to a feature issue.
