BIG Echo on SS7 channels.

Ok,

So!, here is what:
Went ahead and enabled:
echocancel => allways
echocan_train => 100
echocan_taps => 128

on every box, on every link.

Restarted asterisk (by issuing restart now) on every box and all hell
broke loose, calls would come in, PDD was up the roof and then this
error:

transport.c:306 io_enable_echo_cancellation: Unable to enable echo
cancellation on cic 494
transport.c:306 io_enable_echo_cancellation: Unable to enable echo
cancellation on cic 586

and so on for every call that made it here....
there was no audio on the call although the calling party would hear
ringing...

also tried 31speech, all links, restarted, same thing...

any ideas,

Jorge.
