Following config seems to be working .. /etc/dahdi/system.conf span=2,2,0,ccs,hdb3 bchan=32-46,48-62 mtp2=47 span=3,3,0,ccs,hdb3 bchan=63-77,79-93 #mtp2=78 span=4,4,0,ccs,hdb3 bchan=94-108,110-124 /etc/asterisk/chan_dahdi.conf looks as follows linkset=1 group=1 signalling=ss7 ss7type=itu ss7_called_nai=dynamic ss7_calling_nai=dynamic pointcode=307 adjpointcode=7 defaultdpc=7 context=from-outside_c7 networkindicator=national_spare cicbeginswith=1 channel => 32-46 cicbeginswith=17 channel => 48-62 cicbeginswith=32 channel => 63-77 cicbeginswith=48 channel => 79-93 cicbeginswith=63 channel => 94-108 cicbeginswith=79 channel => 110-124 sigchan = 47 When we restart Asterisk, the following message appears in the console MTP2 link up (SLC 0) --- SS7 Up --- Resetting CICs 1 to 15 Resetting CICs 17 to 46 Resetting CICs 48 to 77 Resetting CICs 79 to 93 I was expecting as follows Resetting CICs 1 to 15 Resetting CICs 17 to 31 Resetting CICs 32 to 46 Resetting CICs 48 to 63 Resetting CICs 64 to 77 Resetting CICs 79 to 93 perhaps it is OK as CICs 17 thru 46, 48 thru 77 are contiguous. All these juggleries need to be done as when these 3 E1 trunks are connected to span 1, 2 and 3. Span 1 shows yellow/red. But the same 3 E1 trunks when moved to span 2,3 and 4 work OK.
