Hi Anton, No I did not try to use Asterisk 1.4 boxes in any of my setups, since I have read many negative feedbacks on it from the asterisk-users list. I tried compiling chan_ss7-1.0.10 on Asterisk 1.2 but failed, and I think the failure is due to adding jitter buffer support in chan_ss7-1.0.10 which exists only in Asterisk 1.4 BTW what kind of hardware are you using for?22 E1s in a single sever ??? Btw, I do use latest asterisk 1.4.21.1 and chan_ss7 1.0.10, patched. Keep the list posted, I think many will be interested if you would suceed with such a big setup. > For example I don't know if I can put 16 E1s per server? > Should I put the prepaid application on the same Asterisk > SS7 box, or should simply convert from SS7 to SIP on one > box, and then?forward the SIP call to?another Asterisk > box where the application is hosted?
