Yes, I have tried that. I piped it from curl into `play` and `aplay` and it worked perfectly. (It's all running on my laptop now.)

Hello Naftoli,Nope, the mailing list is not dead. :)Have you tried fetching this url outside asterisk? Like doing a curl and checking that your server is indeed able to access this wave file?On 8 Feb 2018, at 15:03, Naftoli Gugenheim <naftoligug@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:Is this mailing list dead?

Case in point, this output on the asterisk console:
<PJSIP/7325342893-0000004e>AGI Rx << CONTROL STREAM FILE "https://freewavesamples.com/files/Alesis-Fusion-Nylon-String-Guitar-C4.wav" "" File https://freewavesamples.com/files/Alesis-Fusion-Nylon-String-Guitar-C4.wav does not exist in any format Unable to open https://freewavesamples.com/files/Alesis-Fusion-Nylon-String-Guitar-C4.wav (format (ulaw)): No such file or directory
Any ideas or suggestions?
