In my perception Thunderbird, after having been 10+ years a highlight of my desktop, has become so unstable (even deleting its local folder after an Arch upgrade one time) that i now have constantly SeaMonkey -- statically linked -- as backup Mail User Agent. Each Arch upgrade has become a hit and miss in that regard, a real lottery: what surprise will Thunderbird have this time? I don't use the RSS functionality, but I use heavily the calendar. On Thunderbird i can't use it anymore since approx. two weeks because the calendar view flickers, making it unreadable. Daniel David C.
