Yes this seems expected:

    "Rebuild to have qemu-common conflict with the removed
    qemu-system-nios2, so that users are asked to remove it from their
    systems (if it is installed) upon upgrade."

I guess it can safely be removed if it was removed from the package.
Otherwise it will just show up as a foreign repo (pacman -Qm) I guess.
