Re: Can't find KiCad symbols

I installed kicad and kicad-library (7.0.10-1) using pacman. After I
launch KiCad and create a new project, I can't find any symbols in the
symbol browser.
  Hello, “works here”.

Is this the first time you use KiCad on this user account? If not, possibly you have some stale configuration and state from previous version. Consider (re)moving it to start afresh. By default KiCad stores its configuration in “~/.config/kicad” and “~/.local/shared/kicad”. Also clear KiCad cache, by default stored in “~/.cache/kicad”.

If that doesn’t help, please run eeschema directly from a terminal, try using it, and see if you get any messages there. Report them here.

If nothing is printed, please describe what happens. **Exactly**(!), step by step, what you click, where, what window appears in the screen, what disappears. Explain why do you think you can’t find any symbols. Please do not skip things or make shortcuts, thinking something is too obvious or “you know it’s not important”.
