1 No i never do partial installs
2 yes like most arch users i use a few AUR packages  this happened after a
failed  " pacman -Syu " it did not indicate it failed bit the next day the
syatem was trash i got it running again  there are just all these python things
 and i am talking around 150 of them not just the example

3 Nope never used PIP  .
