Hello,

I believe this would only be possible with a hardware raid 1, software raid 1 has to boot the Linux kernel before software RAID would be initialised.

With dual root as you have pointed out, should be fully redundant as long as put the second esp behind the first in the boot priority as a fallback boot device.
