This might not be related at all but the symptoms sound kind of similar. The issue I was having is related to https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=212371#c13. Every X reboots the wifi would re-appear. Depending on which firmware it was loading. The workaround was to disable/move the failing firmwares making sure always the correct one was used. So the subject of this thread is not true and my hardware is failing occasionally. > > Sorry for the noise! > > Bests > > Am 14.05.22 um 22:27 schrieb Genes Lists via arch-general: > > On 5/14/22 15:14, Simeon Felis via arch-general wrote: > > > >> [ 18.138516] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: loaded firmware version 9.221.4.1 build 25532 6000-4.ucode op_mode iwldvm > > ... > > Hi Simeon > > > > Best I can tell, this firmware (iwlwifi-6000-4.ucode.xz) has not changed since June 3 2011 - so whatever is happening seems pretty unlikely to have anything to do with the linux-firmware package. > > > > best > > > > gene > > > >
