Package ld-lsb

Hi,

what is the purpose of the package ld-lsb or else the reason for
"Faking a Linux Standard Base runtime"?

"Required By (0)" -
https://archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/ld-lsb/

$ pacman -Ql ld-lsb
ld-lsb /usr/
ld-lsb /usr/lib/
ld-lsb /usr/lib/ld-lsb-x86-64.so.2
ld-lsb /usr/lib/ld-lsb-x86-64.so.3
ld-lsb /usr/lib/ld-lsb.so.2
ld-lsb /usr/lib/ld-lsb.so.3
$ /bin/ls -l /usr/lib/ld-lsb*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 May 13  2021 /usr/lib/ld-lsb-x86-64.so.2 -> ld-linux-x86-64.so.2
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 May 13  2021 /usr/lib/ld-lsb-x86-64.so.3 -> ld-linux-x86-64.so.2
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 13 May 13  2021 /usr/lib/ld-lsb.so.2 -> ld-linux.so.2
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 13 May 13  2021 /usr/lib/ld-lsb.so.3 -> ld-linux.so.2

"The standard stopped being updated in 2015 and current Linux
distributions do not adhere to or offer it" -
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux_Standard_Base

Let alone that it always has been a standard in name only.

Regards,
Ralf
