How it worked in Dept. 1271 at Bell Labs, i.e. where Unix was born and
raised, was the last one to touch a program ‘owned it’.  So, add an
option to grep(1) and folks then came to you for support.  Perhaps
that's too severe for Arch's maintainers, but an atmosphere of ‘We're
all pulling together to keep Arch bleeding edge’ rather than strict
ownership might help.  Maybe that's already present and just not visible
from here.  I thought the comparison may help.
