Ohai,

I'd like to use FreeCAD and KiCAD on the same system but I can't
install them both from the official repos because kicad depends on
opencascade und freecad depends on opencascade74. I can't install both
because these two opencascades don't like to be installed together.

Is their a solution in sight? Can we recompile freecad against the
newer opencascade?

At the moment I'm using the AppImage version of freecad and the repo
version of kicad.

Known issue, it has been solved in freecad development code but freecad devs haven't done a release yet that includes that code.

A workaround is to use freecad-git from aur.
