I tried a lot make it work with icedtea-web a while ago, but at last I
installed jre8 from aur (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/jre8).

Then I use this command to access iLO of HP servers, I hope this helps you.
/usr/lib/jvm/java-8-jre/jre/bin/javaws iLO-jirc.jnlp
