Hi,

at least the serious issues of Evolution are solved.

I tried to troubleshoot (not to workaround) the issue again, but there
was no need to troubleshoot anymore.

I can access the contacts again and umlauts are send again, just a box
to select spamassasin or bogofilter, if both evolution packages are
installed is missing, but that isn't an issue at all.

After upgrading and closing the old version of Evolution, try running

pkill -9 evolution

before you open the upgraded Evolution."
