Re: kernel bug in 4.13.3 related to wireless?

Might not be directly related, but I bought a TP-Link AC600 USB wifi adapter
and it just doesn't work with the latest kernel.

It uses the MT7610u chip from MediaTech.

Most drivers on the AUR or on github did nothing.
With one driver I was able to list the device with

$ ip link

but after using
$ wifi-menu {device-name}

the laptop would freeze and a hard reset was required.

After a bit of googling I figured it's a problem with the > 4.8 kernel.

I wish I knew more about the kernel so I could assist, but this has to wait.
