I did software update and in post-install got the following message about systemd. I have an x86-64 machine running bios since it was built in 1994 before efi was a Microsoft dream.

(5/8) Upgrading systemd-boot...
Couldn't find EFI system partition. It is recommended to mount it to /boot. Alternatively, use --path= to specify path to mount point.
error: command failed to execute correctly
