Agreed. Downloading yaourt, finding the dependencies, installing them all
manually, are great primers for actually using AUR. yaourt makes it easy to
blow right through installs without looking at the PKGBUILD. Even after
discovering yaourt, I still installed AUR packages manually until I
understood the process and was comfortable with it.
