On a few mailing lists Yahoo/Rocketmail addresses could be used, but Yahoo/Rocketmail subscribers don't receive copies of their own mails, anything else works. I'm still subscribed with such an address to https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/xubuntu-users mailman mailing list.
