in general, such a lockup means a kernel level lockup or panic, but
panics are probably displayed on the console.
What hardware do you have? Occassionally something like that happens to
me and it always happens when sound is playing, so it may be the same.

You'll have to post the full output of dmesg or journalctl so that we
can see a larger picture. Do put it on pastebin or something like that
and please don't post it in reverse order, it makes it harder to track
the events that lead to the crash.
