Could you attach all xml config for this VM? Also /proc/cpuinfo output
may help.

Have you tried other ISOs? Try with arch install disk ;) or a derivated
with x11.

You say it shows a black screen and a cursor, so BIOS/UEFI booted,
kernel booted but no graphic enverontment. First try another ISO.
