Hi Dennis,

are you sure that it's related to the kernel and not to something else
that was updated?

Did you run

$ top

and

$ cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/scaling_governor

to ensure that everything is as expected?

If I would run upowerd on my machine, it would use 100% CPU resources,
when an iPad is connected to an USB port.
