Try to comment these 2 lines:
termcap xterm|xterms|xs ti=\E7\E[?47l
terminfo xterm|xterms|xs ti=\E7\E[?47l

It restored the old behavior for me. On another note, please don't top
post. Bottom posting is preferred in the arch mailing lists.
