Headphone Sound Trouble

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello everyone,

since some days I am experiencing strange issues with my laptop headphone jack.

When I boot into Windows 8.1, everything works as expected. No problems or cracking sounds.

When I boot my Arch installation, it seems like everything breaks.
My headphones randomly produce loud cracking sounds and when I manage to get something out of them, the sound is blurred and sounds disturbed.

Searching the Asus FAQ's gave me:

https://www.asus.com/en/support/FAQ/1009646

But I do not know how to check for these settings and wether this applies to me.

Some system information:

Hardware: Asus N550 JK Laptop

uname -a:

pacman -Q alsa-utils:

aplay -l :
