My "grub" stuff to call linux (the kernel):

      echo  'Loading Linux linux ...'
      linux /vmlinuz-linux root=UUID=<root_partition_uuid> rw rootwait
rootfstype=ext4 resume=UUID=<swap_partition_uuid>
      echo  'Loading initial ramdisk ...'
      initrd   /intel-ucode.img /initramfs-linux.img

My hooks line in /etc/mkinitcpio.conf:

HOOKS="base udev autodetect modconf block resume filesystems keyboard fsck"
