mc - why not alias mc-wrapper.sh as default

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

All,

midnight commander provides a convenient script that allows exit to the
present working directory of mc instead of returning you to the directory in
which mc was started. All that is required is a simple alias:

  alias mc='. /usr/lib/mc/mc-wrapper.sh'

This simply invokes mc with the -P option saving the present dir to a tmp
file, then changing to it on exit.

Any reason not to make this the default?

Just a convenience suggestion with a simple fix -- for consideration.
