I have the kernel: Take a look at this article on LWN: https://lwn.net/Articles/572911/ In short: it may be fixed by changing "/proc/sys/vm/dirty_background_ratio" of even better "/proc/sys/vm/dirty_background_bytes" to some reasonable small value.
