[FYI] On ardour 3.1.10 and jack2-multilib 1.9.9.5

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello folks

This is just a note so that you don't have to flag these packages
unnecessarily:

* ardour 3.1.10 is _not_ a source release

    It is a binary-only update from upstream. "The source code release
remains unchanged (since translations are generated during the build
process)." [1]

:: Therefore extra/ardour 3.1-1 is current.

* jack2 1.9.9.5 does not support mixed mode

    The 1.9.8 release is the last version of jack2 that supports the
--mixed flag
for direct 32-bit support on 64-bit. [2] A move to a traditional lib32
package is planned.

:: Therefore community/jack2-multilib 1.9.8-4 is as current as possible.
