In the Unofficial Beginners' Guide you have two secctions that talks about
wireless configuration:

If you want something more deep for wireless setup, check:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Wireless_Setup , be sure to take a
look to xfce4-xfapplet-plugin in AUR.
