Good luck with yours, but i think having langueges on this type of app is unecessary,
since is almost certain that most of this app userbase will have suficient english.
I personally just prefer english (i am portuguese) over my native language. I dont even bother
making a portuguese version, its just unnecessery work, instead i prefer a solid english that
everyone can understand.
On your app is even more evident that english should the only language, since you target
Arch Linux users and all of them need to know english to at least read the wiki and man pages
properly.
I once tried to make translations but it only became a mess to maintain when everyone just
prefers english. In the world of today we all should be talking the same language already.
Anyways, this is just my opinion. You can (and you should, we have the right to disagre) take
a diferent view on this, anyways i wish you luck.

thanks for sharing your thoughts. I think you are right with

and i think this language should be english (with some fancy influences
from other languages), because the english language is quite simple and
easy to learn. But this is a bit ignorant from me and from you. I could
imagine that it is pretty hard for some people to learn this language
and prefer another one.
Btw it is not reality at the moment. I often read things like 'sorry for
my bad english' and stuff - in the forums, ml and irc. So i think it is
nice to give those users a chance to use an app without a dictionary.
That arch users need to read|write|speak some english is true, because
they will fail at the AIF and the config files if not. But behind that a
big part of arch is localized, see core apps like pacman and makepkg.
And that makes things easier for people, having problems with english, i
think they feel more welcome.
The additional workload for me is not that much. I figured out that
transifex and the awesome translators (thx!) does the most stuff for me,
i only have to push the new language files.
Another personal thing is, that this is a great experience for me -
feeling the strength of the arch community. Some stranger from the web
asks people for doin things for him and they reply with 'i did it'. That
is great. But this has nothing to do with our discussion...
