There's no networkmanager started ;).

I didn't use networkmanager before I tried to get a Wi-Fi USB thingy
working. When I tested networmanager I add an entry to the daemons:

DAEMONS=(69switch_xorg.conf hwclock syslog-ng !network !netfs crond
acpid dbus networkmanager rtirq)
