Character encoding on new install

Hello!

I seem to have an issue with my character encoding in a new arch install.

Here [0] [1] are a couple screenshots.

I have locales set correctly in /etc/locale.gen:

en_US.UTF-8 UTF-8
en_US ISO-8859-1

and according to 'locale', all my variables seem to be in order:

LANG=en_US.UTF-8
LC_CTYPE="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_COLLATE="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MESSAGES="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_NAME="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_TELEPHONE="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_ALL=

It happens in terminals (sakura, urxvt, xterm) and also in firefox for some
characters.

I'm at a loss for where to go on this, any ideas?

Thanks!

Tim
