update error

Hi 

i have just run pacman -Syu   reasonable list of updates  downloaded ok 
integrity check ok  but then 
 error : (conflicting files) 
filesystem: /etc/mtab exists in filesystem
initscripts: /etc/profile.d/locale.sh exists in filesystem
