dmesg | grep -i tape

shows nothing

dmesg | grep -i scsi

shows nothing too.

As the device is conected to a sata port, I have tried: 

dmesg | grep -i sata

ata1: SATA link down (SStatus 1 SControl 310)
ata1: limiting SATA link speed to 1.5 Gbps
(The 2 above lines repeats hundreds of times)


But I'm not sure it has any connection to the tape drive.


Any ideas?
