Does anybody knows the reason why > it is needed? At that time the iwl3945 driver was very new and wpa_supplicant didn't work unless you put the card into managed mode beforehand. Hopefully that's no longer the case - it should be fine to remove that line now. Awesome work with netcfg, it's great to see someone working on it again!
