Update Error :: system-tools-backends: requires perl>=5.12.1

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Guys,

	My attempt at upgrade failed this evening due to the following perl dependency:

23:50 archangel:~> pmsu
:: Synchronizing package databases...
 kdemod-legacy is up to date
core 35.5K 108.0K/s 00:00:00 [################################] 100% extra 454.0K 129.4K/s 00:00:04 [################################] 100% community-testing 3.2K 54.9K/s 00:00:00 [################################] 100% community 376.5K 127.8K/s 00:00:03 [################################] 100% archlinuxfr 11.8K 40.6K/s 00:00:00 [################################] 100%

warning: cannot resolve "perl>=5.12.1", a dependency of "system-tools-backends"
:: the following package(s) cannot be upgraded due to unresolvable dependencies:
      system-tools-backends

Do you want to skip the above package(s) for this upgrade? [y/N]
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: system-tools-backends: requires perl>=5.12.1
23:51 archangel:~> pms perl
:: Synchronizing package databases...
 kdemod-legacy is up to date
 core is up to date
 extra is up to date
 community-testing is up to date
 community is up to date
 archlinuxfr is up to date
warning: perl-5.10.1-5 is up to date -- skipping
 there is nothing to do

This doesn't make since as there are no perl>=5.12.1 in any of the active repositories. If system-tools-backends us in 'community' then should its dependencies also be available?
