I particularly like that it suffices to use the following minimal
xorg.conf file, the rest is automatically generated:
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Nvidia#Minimal_configuration

Without it, Xorg will NOT try to use the nvidia driver and fall back to
nv, nouveau or vesa.
